The Self Against The World
If the Self and the World are at Odds,
One may think Either must Win,
But the Truth is Neither can Prevail,
For both Originate Within.
The Judgement of Others’ Failure,
Is Condemning the chance You Might.
To try to Control the Flow of Things,
Is like trying to Strangle the Night.
Darkness does not Submit to Force,
Nor can it be Bargained and Bought.
The Shadow cast is ever so Long,
And where it Stems From must be Sought.
Once One finds this Source of Shadow,
Dimming what Seems should be Bright,
He realizes None Other than Himself,
Has been Blocking the Great Light.
The World is but a Reflection,
Of what One let’s Shine from the Heart.
The Stronger the Shield and the Wall,
The Harder the Fight just to Start.
If One can accept the World as It Is,
Knowing it can be Better, yet Loving all the Same,
He can Break Empires, Move Mountains,
By truly Knowing his Own Name.
